We were born in the Netherlands (the birthplace of gin) and always enjoyed experimenting with flavour - serving our friends a variety of premium craft spirits, paired with our own home-made mixer combinations.
The market for interesting tonics didn’t really exist so when we moved to England to study at Uni and it came to writing our theses, we turned our passion into a business plan, which won us the Richard Branson Foodpreneur award, and Double Dutch was born.

We created this award-winning tonic by brightening the top of the quinine flavour with pink grapefruit, and then we deepened the lower notes with a subtle hint of juniper berry to round out the angularity of quinine and lengthen the finish of the tonic.
